You have to assemble your life yourself, action by action.

Week 13/52 was about enjoying my life as.it.is. (facing the way things truly are: limits, what is & what isn’t and what will never be). And action by action, deciding/planning the details of what I desire. ♥
Having a sense of structure in place makes “it is easier to thrive and flourish” (Julia Cameron). My creative structure (sequences and task lists + compiling these weekly summaries of what I am reading and observing) serves me as both a balm and compass.
Week 13/52 In-Review
Your experience of being alive consists of nothing other than the sum of everything to which you pay attention. At the end of your life, looking back, whatever compelled your attention from moment to moment is simply what your life will have been.

The days of this week have felt extremely fulfilling and meaningful (but I also had to deal with daily migraines and intense, radiating pain throughout my body).
There were daily appointments Monday-Thursday; decisions finalized; clarity (and empowerment) regarding a financial decision; unexpected closure about the state of an estranged relationship; marvelously inspiring discussions with the members of the groups I host. ♥
Perhaps this is a “life hack”: tell yourself work is over for the week so you’re laid back enough to do the real work of play. –Austin Kleon

Whenever we succumb to distraction, we’re attempting to flee a painful encounter with our finitude — with the human predicament of having limited time, and more especially, in the case of distraction, limited control over that time, which makes it impossible to feel certain about how things will turn out…

Tracking my days + counting weeks assists me in being attentive to my energies.
- It helps me to be aware of the cyclical energies, habits and patterns of my living — and to resist overthinking/fretting about the “highs and lows” of those cycles.
- Chronicling these events also helps me to identify the details and decisions of what I can influence and modify — and release myself from any undue sense of duty or responsibility regarding what I cannot influence or modify.
These weekly reviews are the ongoing backstory that empowers me to process what I am curious about, and how I live + chronicle what matters most to me.
This compilation allows me to document, discern and ponder my living along with the ebb and flow of certainty, uncertainty and random details mingled with the details and challenges of daily minutia and my story-unfolding. ♥
Self belonging. It’s like returning to a home where you can move and be moved in unrefined and familiar ways. All good things come to an end and good new beginnings soon follow.
