The motivation behind Right Brain Planner is to assist with establishing a creative practice by offering free and low-cost resources and small-group, community support.

๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป I will begin a new book discussion for Opening Up by Writing It Down by James W. Pennebaker beginning September 12, 2026 for my Ko-fi patrons.
๐๐ปโโ๏ธ We will meet once a month (on the second Saturday afternoon, Central Time) to discuss โก๏ธ one chapter of this book. This book has 10 chapters.
- New and used copies of ๐ this book are available on Amazon.com (and likely available in your local area at used book stores or library sales).

“In a voiced community, we all flourish.” -Terry Tempest Williams
In addition to book discussions, I host co-creating sessions and monthly small-group discussions via Zoom for my Ko-fi patrons.
- We currently meet on the third Saturday of each month, 1:30-2:30-ish p.m. Central Time.
๐ซmember comments and testimonials:
motivation to create | warm & welcoming | “I was surprised to feel so relaxed and seen…” | open and authentic | “I have learned to simply resume (without shame)…” | stronger together

My Ko-fi community started in 2020. It is an ongoing community with a variety of support options and benefits, with a flexible membership (that you can cancel at any time).

Being active in a kindred community is a way to increase your awareness about yourself and your creativity. It is also a way of sharpening your focus with regard to what truly inspires and motivates you.

Self-compassion and creative expression are the foundation for right brain planning.
Within the communities I host, we focus on the benefit of fostering trust, ongoing support and inspirationโin addition to sharing practical ideas about our right brain planning practices.
โค๏ธ my motivation to host community support
- Slow is fast enough when it comes to our progress.
- Being active in a community provides support and helps us to remember to trust your pace.
Right Brain Planner is a collection of lunar + seasonal prompts and journal-planning ideas to encourage self-compassion and review, reflection and expression, discovery and healing.
Braveheart, we learn by doing: we discover details about ourselves through dated, chronicled observations ๐โ๏ธ๐ because everything we experience is data. ๐
Data is value-neutral; it is neither “good’ or “bad”โit is merely information to use for our choices, intentions and conclusions. Remembering this helps us to live free from judgment and shoulds.
Thank you kindly for your presence here.
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~

Artist’s Statement ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐๏ธ๐จโค๏ธ๐๐ซ
โค๏ธ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! ๐ For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred ๐ญ๐ฝ๐๐ญ communities. โจ I consider it an absolute delight to continue this portion of my creative work (even as I retire from full-time work).
This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. โค๏ธ But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host.
If you already have your own system of creative journal-planning, but are interested in financially supporting my creative work, you may do so by making a donation:
