“Orphaned voices. They seemed to speak for all the unlived parts of me, and they came with a force and dazzle that I couldn’t contain. I know now that they were the clamor of a new self struggling to be born.” -Sue Monk Kidd

“True spaciousness of the soul is having the will and courage to experience things as they are.” -Christine Valters Painter
The quote above describes the empowerment of [acceptance] in a situation we cannot change. Despite the unsettling details of change (or letting go) what is.
This is particularly true with our primary relationships when we reach a point of [acceptance] that people don’t really change that much over a lifetime.
“You don’t have to overhaul your life—you just have to explore it.” -Anne-Laure Le Cunff

“Be kind to yourself, and then let your kindness fill the world.” -Pema Chödrön

I am circling around questions about what I want to live next. I am open and curious (and also, feeling wandery and uncertain). 🤷🏻♀️
A dear friend of mine and I were chatting recently about recent topics at our therapy sessions. (As one does …) 🤭 It was a tender conversation, especially when we both admitted recent celebratory moments of moving from numb to anger.
“What we have named as anger on the surface is the violent outer response to our own inner powerlessness, a powerlessness connected to such a profound sense of rawness and care that it can find no proper outer body or identity or voice, or way of life to hold it. What we call anger is often simply the unwillingness to live the full measure of our fears or of our not knowing, in the face of [love]…” -David Whyte
The “unwillingness to live the full measure of our fears” sums up the past month for me. That is why I am celebrating my current sense of something sturdier and moving to toward a new freedom.

Forgiveness does not reconcile a relationship (but it does free us to move on); it does not end an estrangement or repair the unacknowledged damage but it does offer relief.
“Maybe you don’t need to find more energy. Maybe you need to find something that gives back more than it takes.” -Brianna Wiest
This year I have been focused on [freedom] (my current guide word for 2026). I have been decluttering (tangible and intangible stuff) letting go, experimenting with my daily sequences and rituals—along with pondering future dreams.
- [future versions …] what are you telling yourself, Braveheart?
- hope and joy as a practice (even when it feels impossible) ❤️
Right brain planning is more about expression and being present and experiments; giving time and energies to our living + processing our emotions + living our dreams.
- It is a means of “getting [it] down on paper” in order to know more about ourselves and the details of our dreams and desires. ❤️
- It is a means of practicing self-compassion and love, acknowledging our limits, and viewing said limits as a launch pad in the direction of our dreams. 🚀✨
💁🏻♀️ For May, the Ko-fi resources are focused on [new narratives]. The content and templates are for reframing + focusing on affirmations for our well-being and future life experience.
Thank you kindly for your presence here, Braveheart. 💗
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~

⭐️ I am an artist and curator; I am one who communicates with color, found words and collage, inky marks and doodles as I cycle like the moon (as my calendar), chronicling oracles and abiding with the sky as a meditation.
⭐️ I host creative communities, safe spaces for gathering and sharing. I choose love and creativity for coping with the ongoing challenges of this world and I go to work—not because everything is fine but because I believe art heals.
