“Lughnasadh is one of the four major Celtic fire festivals and falls between the Summer Solstice (Litha) and the Autumn Equinox (Mabon) on the modern Wheel of the Year. Traditionally celebrated on August 1st, it marks the beginning of the harvest season…” pagangrimoire.com
We celebrate and reflect on this day under a waning gibbous π moon.
Let’s focus on reflecting on the narrative we dictate within the moments of our dailies; how it can be changed at any time. Slow and steadily, we are writing our stories, Braveheart.

Braveheart, this year has felt like a dip π down from last year’s fullness and clarity, and yet: Life goes on … β€οΈ
π₯³ I am currently cancer-free, gaining πͺ strength in my spine, scheduled for β’οΈ radiation in August and endlessly grateful for the kind (and knowledgeable) medical π©Ίπ©π»ββοΈπ¨π»ββοΈπ¬ professionals who have helped me through three diagnosesβthat definitely were not on my bingo card for this year! π€
ππ» The dip felt threatening; I began to feel the familiar heaviness of those years prior when I was recovering β€οΈβπ©Ή and processing the healing wisdom of a profound depression.
ππ»ββοΈ One of the most significant changes that came out of those years was hosting (and participating in) co-creating β¨π»π©π»βπ»π₯οΈβ¨ sessions.
- The grace to be a host of co-creating sessions, but also to be a member (supported as a participant) in a kindred community continues to be transformative. π
π₯³ The supportive discussions prove to be precious, healing and empowering reminders that we are never alone in our π doubtsβand experiencing how together we are stronger. π

βTell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?β -Mary Oliver
β€οΈ Braveheart, I believe we always know what we need. There is an inner wisdom we can trust and tap into. β‘οΈ The August download for my Ko-fi patrons will include art + content to explore [your values & fostering meaning].
ππ»ββοΈ Because frankly, [finding meaning] has become my proverbial side hustle this summer! π€π
ππ»ββοΈ This year has included A LOT of uncertainty and challenging πͺ realities. β‘οΈβ‘οΈβ‘οΈ BUT it has also been full of joy π and kindness.
π AND I took down some notes I would love to share with you! ππ₯π
β¨π A creative practice can become a safe space for devoting attention to what you need & desire. Your chronicles can become like πΊοΈ maps to β‘οΈ guide you + love letters π to yourself.
Right Brain Planner is a collection of lunar + seasonal prompts and journal-planning ideas to encourage self-compassion and review, reflection and expression, discovery and healing.
Braveheart, we learn by doing: we discover details about ourselves through chronicled observation πβοΈπ because everything we experience is data. π
Data is value-neutral; it is neither “good’ or “bad”βit is merely information to use for our choices, intentions and conclusions. Remembering this helps us to live free from judgment and shoulds.
Thank you kindly for your presence here.
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~

β€οΈ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! π For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred ππ½ππ communities. β¨ I consider it an absolute delight to continue this portion of my creative work (even as I retire from full-time work).
This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions).
