Despair turns to depression and abstraction when we try to make it stay beyond its appointed season and start to shape our identity around its frozen disappointments.
David Whyte
Braveheart, when we say we don’t know what we want … we actually do know. In fact, our restlessness and discontent are the first clues that what we desire is literally trying to get our attention.
The answers await our asking — followed by listening and chronicling.
Right brain planning is a way of listening and chronicling your answers.
Right brain planning is a way of marking time and envisioning time for the purpose of living more of what matters most to us.
- It is a way to move away from despair and practice [being curious] when it is time to move beyond our [Before] and move into the appointed season of our [Next].
- It is a way of envisioning ourselves living what matters most to us as we experiment with new habits and routines — jotting down the details of our daydreams and wishes and our want-to’s.
- It is a way to live this day (and every single day) to its fullest capacity.
- Even if (especially if) we feel stuck, emotionally swirly, “behind” or without a sense of direction.
- Braveheart, I highly recommend devoting some time with this thought experiment … ♥
- Even if (especially if) we feel stuck, emotionally swirly, “behind” or without a sense of direction.
- After you do the thought experiment, re-imagine this day — imagine yourself just beyond yourself at this point of time in your wild and precious life:
Just beyond
yourself.
It’s where
you need
to be.
…
Half a step
into
self-forgetting
and the rest
restored
by what
you’ll meet.

🔺Kaleidoscope Perspectives is the theme of the 2024 Right Brain Planner® Annual Kit🔻— an invitation to see your living as an ongoing option for [reframing] and discovery and 🪄 imagination.
🪄💭 My own imaginary worlds became the scaffolding of everything I envisioned for 🔺Kaleidoscope Perspectives🔻— because everything 🌱🧮🎐🗝️🔮 first exists in our 🌐 imagination, Braveheart.
It takes extra effort and imagination to set those tainted visions aside and dream up a reality we’d prefer, not to mention explore the innumerable futures that are possible.

🩷 My imaginary worlds were a safe space during the most heartbreaking 💔 times of my life. My journal-planners were my way of processing my sorrows, coping with hardships and reminding myself that everything is temporary.
- Within the 74-pages of the 2024 Kit there are (12) monthly journal pages with prompts to guide you for a year of [kaleidoscope perspectives].
- Of determining meaning in your wild and precious life, of practicing curiosity and seeking beauty; of holding space with whatever you are experiencing and moving through to your [Next].
Thank you kindly for your presence here, Braveheart.
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~
