“Holding every rule as breakable is a healthy way to live as an artist. It loosens constraints that promote a predictable sameness in our working methods. … As you move away from familiar rules, you may bump up against more hidden rules that have been guiding you all along, without your knowledge.” -Rick Rubin

Since January of this year I have shared the monthly themes for Right Brain Planner as a guiding prompt.
✅ Two guide words that invite living + asking our questions [in-full + without apology] and [with the purpose of knowing ourselves more fully]—amidst our 🎢 doubts and challenges and from the perspective of seeing our [growth] and the different ways we have experienced [redemption] … processing all of those details as an act of faith. 📿
This month, I share [survive] and [thrive] as a prompt.
As I reflect on these two words, survive reminds me of moving through therapies and practices to thrive. (My most recent example: cancer surgery and radiation and physical therapy.)
But this also includes living through hard things and reminding ourselves of our capacity and strength, asking for—and being open to receiving—help.
Freedom has been my word of the year, and it has led to much resolution; it has also led to deeper and more meaningful relationships.
The details of my personal resolution have provided me with clarity. Providing me with details of “who i am now” along with 🪄🦄 ideas and inspiration for Right Brain Planner. 🥳💗
I have decided to focus on providing support options directly through my Ko-fi account.
For several years now, I have also hosted other private, subscriber-only communities. The last two concluded in September. Going forward, support activities will only be offered to my Ko-fi patrons. 💗 (Scholarships are available.)
💗 To be clear, I will continue to publish free content here, but the focus of my time and energy will be offering community sessions via Zoom and sharing details about my creative practice on my Ko-fi account.
I will also continue sharing inspiration and examples of right brain planning on my Instagram. I hope you are following me there … 🥳

Braveheart, I am excited to be crossing over this new 🚪 threshold. 🪄 It feels like freedom! 😊
☑️ It is exciting to have a singular focus regarding support options for my Ko-fi patrons. I would love for {you} to join in, Braveheart! 💕

⭐️ I am an artist and curator; I am one who communicates with color, found words and collage, inky marks and doodles as I cycle like the moon (as my calendar), chronicling oracles and abiding with the sky as a meditation.
Artist’s Statement 😊🔮🔎📝🖌️🎨❤️📊
⭐️ I host creative communities, safe spaces for gathering and sharing. I choose love and creativity for coping with the ongoing challenges of this world and I go to work—not because everything is fine but because I believe art heals.
❤️ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! 🎉 For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred 👭🏽💞👭 communities. ✨ I consider it an absolute 🤸 delight to continue this portion of my creative 📝🖌️✂️🫧 work (even as I retire from full-time work).
- This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. (Thank you!) 💗 But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions). 🫶
