“[I] vowed to appreciate the return of the seasons with all their different energies, new smells, and promise of an inevitable harvest—even if it didn’t yield much this year.” -Mari Andrew
Today is the 🌓🌔🌕 moon is waxing to full; it is ✅ Day 91/100 of my second 100-Day Project for this year, (theme: Benevolence, Wonder and Meaning).
I will be sharing daily reading notes from My Inner Sky by Mari Andrew through August 31. 😊 … However, [freedom] is my guide words for 2026 (and I am in the midst of my radiation ☢️ treatments), so please take that into consideration. 🪂

“Creativity was like a flaky-friend who never remembers to RSVP but then appears at the party in a Gatsby-level gown and with a gift of expensive champagne.” -Mari Andrew
The insight of this chapter was well-timed for me. 😊 She shared the wisdom and inspiration woven within her memories of a vacation to southern France, wine 🍇 country. And how she decided to practice trusting that her capricious Creativity’s 🔁 ebb and flow.
“I used to get my best ideas in the midst of new scenery—Creativity seemed to enjoy accompanying me on vacation—but, for the first time in three years, I wanted to relieve myself of that pressure on a this trip.” -Mari Andrew
☕ Her decision included allowing her days to belong only to beauty + her curiosity, ease and relaxation (and she delighted in that freedom!). 🪁
It was an impromptu visit to a 🍷🍷 winery (and spending the day with the vintner’s daughter in freezing 🥶 temperatures) that led to one of her most 🪄 vital discoveries about Creativity.
“The winemakers, devoted to their art, are constantly aware that conditions could destroy their tireless work…But rather than obsessing over losing their crop, it seems to me that this awareness gives them more attentiveness and reverence for what they’ve already accomplished.” -Mari Andrew
She begins to consider how she could treat Creativity like a vineyard (instead of a fickle friend) and become attentive to its proverbial seasons. To acknowledge ways she could devote attention and reverence to it.

What does this have to do with right brain planning?
➡️ Creativity requires activity—and baby steps count. 😊 Having some form of a ritual—practicing (trying over and over)—fosters creativity. 🪄💫🎨✏️
💖 Braveheart, showing up for ourselves, putting a pen (color or scraps of paper) on the page is a way to hold space with our big questions (and big 🎭 emotions) throughout our 🍂❄️🌷☀️ seasons. It is a way to be attentive, and to notice the details of what we are experiencing.
“When we allow ourselves to wallow in the big questions, we fail to find the small answers.” -Julia Cameron
Right Brain Planner is a collection of lunar + seasonal prompts and journal-planning ideas to encourage self-compassion and review, reflection and expression, discovery and healing.
Braveheart, we learn by doing: we discover details about ourselves through dated, chronicled observations 👀✍️📔 because everything we experience is data. 📊
Data is value-neutral; it is neither “good’ or “bad”—it is merely information to use for our choices, intentions and conclusions. Remembering this helps us to live free from judgment and shoulds.
Thank you kindly for your presence here.
I appreciate your interest and support.
