The theme for 2024 is [Kaleidoscope Perspectives].
- For me, this is a practice of turning the (imaginary) kaleidoscope of my life to see the ever-changing beauty and new perspectives of my living.
- This theme was inspired by the choices I started practicing during the months of an “impossibly” difficult situation concerning someone I love dearly.
- It enabled me to support them in tangible ways without becoming enveloped by my concern for their well-being, and my anger about the injustice of what they had to deal with.
- Inspired to face situations with curiosity (instead of resistance), I decided to practice Mary Oliver’s example of being “a bride married to amazement.”
The more comfortable you become with discomfort, the more the discomfort will reveal itself to you.
