The past three months have been a blur of activity (medical appointments, physical therapy, test results and surgeries).
Needless to say, being online has been moved to the “if I have time and energy” category. (Both at a premium these days.)
Braveheart, I have been (mostly) offline since May. ๐คนโค๏ธโ๐ฉน May was all about medical appointments, imaging and surgical procedures. June included a major surgery, and proved to be an ๐ข adventure (of sorts) ๐ for me. July’s realities have also been a continuing ๐ invitation for stillness and also, being (mostly) offline.
โ TL;DR I will continue sharing most of my content on my Ko-fi account and the private communities I host, with periodic posts to my Instagram.
Part of me determined to compassionately honor my pace, but also part of me shouting variations of “What else can happen??” (and weeping as a release).
My overall intention is to be in the moment, [reframing and focusing] on the essentials of what I need moving forward. So-o …

I have been devoted to doing my best to maintain a balance within my Life Quad, along with creating “ugly pages” as a way of processing all of this.
- ๐ฆฉ embracing possibility (“ugly pages) ๐โ๏ธ๐ช๐๐๏ธ
- ๐ฆฉ embracing possibility & [benevolent creativity]
What I share here (aka my online visual journal) is mostly a copy/paste review of my journal entries and my slow-reading notes.
๐ Shared here because it creates an archive + it is searchableโsomething not available with my paper right brain planners.
- I was hesitate, but also ๐ฏ certain, of my initial decision to (mostly) pause my online posts and updates about the resources I publish.
- I remain ever-grateful for the support of my Ko-fi patrons! ๐
- July themes and prompts are inspiring future versions of ourselves.
- In planning for this time off I got clear on how to create a system of grouping similar tasks in order to accomplish them in the least amount of time.
- ๐๐๐ Necessity is the mother of invention/understanding because I have experimented with this numerous times before. โ
- I will be sharing my notes and templates for this in the September resources for my Ko-fi patrons. As well as discussing ideas during our September Community Session.
Also, a dear ๐ friend (immensely creativeโbut also left-brained extraordinaire) recently walked me through some scheduling options during one of our weekend chats. โ
I was determined to create a new routine, but she kindly reminded me to save time and energy by starting with what already works for me, then pair that with the essentials of what I want to experience + accomplish. ๐
“Sometimes surviving lifeโs hardest seasons looks less like finding answers and more like making room for your own humanity.” -Alex Elle
Right brain planning fosters self-compassion (instead of a system based on performance) because it prioritizes expression, your well-being and with yourself; tracking your phases [energies, moods, progress] with natureโs seasons and the ๐ moonโs phases; tending to your Life Quad, nourishing your senses and noticing the details of the world around you.
๐ Tracking (and reviewing) our ๐ญ thoughts and routine activities [along with whatever has our โ ๏ธ attention] reveals our beliefs and valuesโand helps us to discover meaning and the details of our โป๏ธ rhythms.

Thank you kindly for your presence here, Braveheart. ๐
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~

โญ๏ธ I am an artist and curator; I am one who communicates with color, found words and collage, inky marks and doodles as I cycle like the moon (as my calendar), chronicling oracles and abiding with the sky as a meditation.
โญ๏ธ I host creative communities, safe spaces for gathering and sharing. I choose love and creativity for coping with the ongoing challenges of this world and I go to workโnot because everything is fine but because I believe art heals.
โค๏ธ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! ๐ For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred ๐ญ๐ฝ๐๐ญ communities. โจ I consider it an absolute ๐คธ delight to continue this portion of my creative ๐๐๏ธโ๏ธ๐ซง work (even as I retire from full-time work).
- This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. (Thank you!) ๐ But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions). ๐ซถ
- ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Other ways to support my work: โค๏ธ continue to read this blog + follow me on Instagram. ๐ฒ
