The focus of this post is a daily-ish practice [a repeated sequence] for processing, and chronicling jots pertaining to your thoughts and doubts; ideas, questions, and inspirations. π

Creativity is a habit, and the best creativity is a result of good work habits. Thatβs it in a nutshell.
Twyla Tharp
My “good work habits” includes building a creative scaffolding (a system) within repetitive activities (habits & sequences) and mindfulness.
- Doing so enables me to experience more of what matters most to me, Braveheart.
- It may also enable you to live more of what matters to you.
Cyclical resources to foster these types of systems are available to my Ko-fi patrons, members of the private communities I host, and here.

β²οΈ The first step of a creative habit: it needs to feel doable + beneficial {for you] within two-minutes. “You have to standardize before you can optimize” (James Clear) This minimal threshold of time and energy ensures you will continueβand fosters flow and momentum.
[recommended items to get started with a Line Journal]:
- (12-pack) of college-ruled, 60 page, 5.5″x8.3″/A5 journals*
- This type of journal is a simple way to begin due to its size and format.
- A 12-pack of journals = one for each month of a calendar year.
- date stamp (like this one) -or- simply enter the date of your line-entry
- Dated entries ensure a timeline and framework of your notes.
- Line-Journals can be simple, daily-ish jots.
- No-rules β just a mindful pause, jots and a daily-ish intention.
- your favorite pen π
- This is vital to ensure a positive sensory experience.
- For hand-written pages and entries, I prefer to use a Pilot, G2 gel roller pen, 1 mm point.
*I have been using my A5 journal to compile dated, hand-written entries (no minimum number of lines or pages) β with the Line Journal template tipped in the front cover as a daily tracker.
- AND, this journal may end up being 3-months of entries (instead of monthly). I will be focusing on quarter plans during the calendar year of 2025, so this would be an excellent addition to that. π

Any day can be your Day One, Braveheart.

Right Brain Planner is a collection of lunar + seasonal prompts and journal-planning ideas to encourage self-compassion and review, reflection and expression, discovery and healing.
Braveheart, we learn by doing: we discover details about ourselves through chronicled observation πβοΈπ because everything we experience is data. π
Data is value-neutral; it is neither “good’ or “bad”βit is merely information to use for our choices, intentions and conclusions. Remembering this helps us to live free from judgment and shoulds.
Thank you kindly for your presence here.
I appreciate your interest and support.

β€οΈ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! π For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred ππ½ππ communities. β¨ I consider it an absolute delight to continue this portion of my creative work (even as I retire from full-time work).
This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions).
