“Most of the time, we approach our tasks with the mantra of, “this better work.” Far better to say, ‘this might work.’ [the slogan for a scientist, an artist and a linchpin].” -Seth Godin
Braveheart, everything is an experiment: everything from the mundane details to life-changing choices. And everything cycles through darkness and light.
And yet, we often stall out within repeated attempts that don’t work out like we desire, of trial and error choices that feel unfruitful.
We assume everything is linear, we assume everything to have one side (one perspective) and we judge certain outcomes void of goodness … but we are often misguided in these assumptions.

We cycle through doubting everything (especially our capabilities) when we expect different results than what we experience. We begin to assume we cannot experience what we desire; we doubt ourselves and assume we must have done something wrong.
Without interruption/intervention, this scenario will “bleed out your spirit and take away your resiliencies” (Twyla Tharp).
It is important not to limit our possibilities or to give up on ourselves, Braveheart. To instead pause, rest and regroup; to both invest and divest as often as we deem necessary.

In her book, Gift From the Sea, Anne Morrow Lindbergh notes “that there is no permanent pure-relationship and there should not be.”
She offers that “the pure relationship is limited, in space and in time [and] that it excludes the rest of life, other relationships, other sides of personality, other responsibilities, other possibilities in the future.”
“All living relationships are in process of change, of expansion, and must perpetually be building themselves new forms.” -Anne Morrow Lindbergh
💢 “Building new forms” is how I would describe my current focus. I am fueled by a sense of something sturdier and determined to move toward a new freedom. ➡️✨

Braveheart, I have been sharing from my journals for almost 20 years because I wanted to share how chronicling my life fostered glimmers of hope (and literally saved my life).
I first started sharing online because I was interested in creating + fostering community—but also to leave a trail of breadcrumbs … (for me, and for you). ❤️

Right brain planning is not about planning as much as it is about self-compassionate chronicles of our living—being in touch with wants and feelings, but also being willing to hold that space in whatever creative 🦄🗃️✂️🖌️📐🎨🖌️ ways are doable.
- An act of love and self-compassion; this is a practice of being aware of our desires and needs, and learning to trust our 🐌 pace through our phases and seasons.
- Doing what we must—doing the best we can, until we know better and can do better (paraphrasing Maya Angelou). 💟
Hope occurs within micro-shifts of focus and habits, and breath-by-breath.
Hope occurs when we connect to our living as a means of knowing (and loving) ourselves; when we check-in and compile dated chronicles offering us data that we are evolving ever-slowly within the hours, days and weeks of calendar years.
➡️➡️➡️ The answers we need await our asking—followed by our listening and chronicling.
Right brain planning is a way of listening and chronicling our answers.
Right brain planning is a way of marking 🔖 time and envisioning time for the purpose of [hope] and ✅ living more of what matters most to us. 🪄🦩💖
- It is a way to move [away from 😔😪😥 despair] and practice [being 🪄💭 curious] when it is time to move beyond our [Before] ⬅️⬅️⬅️ and ➡️➡️➡️ move into the appointed season and phases of our ➡️ [Next].
- It is a way of 🪄💭 [envisioning] ourselves living what 🔁 matters most to us 🪄🦩💖 as we experiment with ✅ new habits and routines—jotting 📝 down the details of our 🪄💭 daydreams and 🙏🏻 wishes and our ❤️ want-to’s.
- It is [a way to live] ✅ this day (and every single day) to its fullest capacity. 🫶🏻
- Even if (especially if) we feel ❌ stuck, emotionally 🎢 swirly, “behind” or ⁉️ [without a sense of direction].
- Braveheart, I highly recommend devoting some time with this thought experiment … 🪄🦩💖
- After you do the thought experiment, re-imagine this day—imagine yourself just beyond yourself at this point of time in your wild and precious life:
- Even if (especially if) we feel ❌ stuck, emotionally 🎢 swirly, “behind” or ⁉️ [without a sense of direction].
Thank you kindly for your presence here, Braveheart. 💗
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~
