Braveheart, this month has become a portal; the lifting of a veil and conclusion of a spiritual winter for me.
October days have been full with precious time with visiting family members and friends. This week has become focused on 💤 rest and conversations with my son. Within these altered daily sequences, I have set aside time to compile some review notes to share with you, dear reader. ♥
“There’s a wonderful freedom in living life by your own design and making choices for yourself. … Those who long for the same discoveries will seek them out. Those who are envious will never understand anyway. Everyone else can just live their life as they see fit.” -Chris Guillebeau
This past year I was able to close access to people and situations that drained my energies. The wisdom and strength to release what could not be changed manifested after a 5-year season of acceptance of what [was and is], followed by processing and mourning. ❤️🩹
- It started with acknowledging it was time for me to live differently for my well-being.
- I pored over my journals and photos; I crafted visual timelines of memories and milestones and collected jots and notations about my desires and aspirations.
- I invested in a kindred community of friends, each of us devoted to living free and full.
- I sought counsel and therapeutic assistance.
- I trusted my pace.

The process of [living differently] requires us to habit ourselves into a cycle of fostering spiritual practices and kindred relationships, along with making choices as we baby-step our way toward our wishes and dreams.
“Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it.” -Anaïs Nin
This recent season of becoming required much more time than I would have chosen. But I continually chose to trust my pace + enlisted assistance at various points along the way.

My right brain planning practice is sacred space for processing and documenting ideas + plans for my intentions and priorities.

“I don’t know what I think until I write it down.” -Joan Didion

34 years ago this week, I was heavy with child, eagerly awaiting my first baby’s entrance earth-side. He is currently visiting and we will celebrate his birthday with Funfetti cupcakes (like we used to every year before he enlisted in the Air Force).
- His birth was a miracle and his presence in my life is a saving grace. His love, curiosity and faithfulness are some of my most precious gifts.
Braveheart, I share that to say this: dreams come true. Please resist retreating from your dreams or believing that you “don’t have time to […].”
Time is not hiding from us. Thus, we cannot “find time”—we must use every moment of time we have to live whatever matters most to us.

Meaning (healing and discovery) exist within what we choose to seek + give our time and energies to.
Meaning (healing and discovery) are achieved as we identify our priorities and values, and devote time and energy to what matters most to us—instead of giving it away to busyness and other distraction-based activities.
Are you living free and full, Braveheart? I assure you, it is possible; dreams do come true. But it will likely require much more time than you would choose. 🙃
Slow is fast enough. Trust your pace.
Time is not hiding from us. It is waving wildly—awaiting our attention. Begin simply, with baby steps toward living your wishes and dreams.
Thank you kindly for your presence here, Braveheart. 💗
I appreciate your interest and support.
~love & good wishes~

Right Brain Planning Basics | Day One Guide
The 2025-2026 theme for the Chapters private community I am hosting is 📖 [Conscious Living]. ✨ This is also the guiding theme of the cyclical resources + guides with art, templates and instructional content I publish for my Ko-fi patrons.
⭐️ I am an artist and curator; I am one who communicates with color, found words and collage, inky marks and doodles as I cycle like the moon (as my calendar), chronicling oracles and abiding with the sky as a meditation.
⭐️ I host creative communities, safe spaces for gathering and sharing. I choose love and creativity for coping with the ongoing challenges of this world and I go to work—not because everything is fine but because I believe art heals.
❤️ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! 🎉 For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred 👭🏽💞👭 communities. ✨ I consider it an absolute delight to continue this portion of my creative work (even as I retire from full-time work).
- This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions). 🫶
