full moon prompt (Mary Oliver & keep moving …)

I know, you never intended to be in this world.
But you’re in it all the same.
So why not get started immediately.
I mean, belonging to it.
There is so much to admire, to weep over.

-Mary Oliver-

There are two main aspects of belonging to your life, chronicling the details of belonging:

Things take the time they take. Don’t worry.

Mary Oliver

Prompt: reflect + write for this full 🌕 moon:

  1. Set aside time and space for this ritual.
  2. When you begin, take notice of your breath.
  3. (Close your eyes, if that is comfortable for you.)
  4. Ask yourself: What do I need right now? 💗
  5. Pause, giving your full attention to listening …
  6. Write down whatever comes to your mind. Resist filtering your words. 💗
  7. Then consider some teeny, tiny actionable steps to begin living more of what you need.
  8. Compile an affirming statement to speak aloud as you set an intention to honor more of what you need (without apology or justification.)
  9. Revisit your notes throughout the phases of the moon (until the next full moon).
  10. Attention is the beginning of everything. Trust your pace. (Change and awareness is a process.)

May I reflect on my capacity and abide in stillness as an act of self-compassion.

⭐️ I am an artist and curator; I am one who communicates with color, found words and collage, inky marks and doodles as I cycle like the moon (as my calendar), chronicling oracles and abiding with the sky as a meditation.

⭐️ I host creative communities, safe spaces for gathering and sharing. I choose love and creativity for coping with the ongoing challenges of this world and I go to work—not because everything is fine but because I believe art heals.

  • This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions). 🫶
