Trusting my phases allows for more ease than tracking with dates and months; marking cyclical, gradual movement from darkness (unknowns) to light (fullness) and cycling back through the darkness (unknowns).

Everything cycles like the 🌙 moon and nature’s ❄️🌷🌻🍁 seasons. Right brain planning is a means of processing our thoughts and feelings when we feel out of sync with our desires or trapped in the in-between times.
And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.
Sylvia Plath
“The imagination to improvise” ~yes! 😊 This has been my solace regarding action steps for the ideas I have for the support communities I am hosting.
- 🔮 To imagine new ways to offer support + encourage + inspire.
The May Life Quad focus is [wellness].
With my wellness in mind, I have been converting ideas into doable projects—and acknowledging all the projects I am already doing.
On this eve of the full 🌕 moon, I am reflecting on my intentions and reminding myself of my notes on the quarter 🌓 moon: Resolve does not mean we don’t rest when we become weary and discombobulated. 😪
- My resolve regarding the details of my proverbial next chapter became clearer (after several weeks of feeling wandery) during a conversation with my son a week ago.
- It was a clarifying reset that cleared away my doubts and distractions, and helped me refocus on my worth and my priorities.
The problem isn’t that we’re lazy or incapable—it’s just that we’re not doing the work that’s going to enable us to thrive.
Charlie Gilkey

“Everything in life is writable about” (Sylvia Plath); writing, photography and other forms of visual expression have been my saving grace through the most difficult times of my life.
My current focus is to provide supportive spaces to help others to explore this healing and clarity of expression within a creative practice.
- Doing this as I also try softer for my well-being.
- Doing this as I trust that slow is fast enough (and that I am enough).
Trying softer is sacred work. And while it won’t be perfect or easy, it will be worth it. Because this is what we were made for: a living, breathing, moving, feeling, connected, beautifully incarnational life.

2025 Right Brain Planner theme is [Chapters 📖 The Magic of Your Story Unfolding]. I publish cyclical resources + quarterly guides with art and instructional content. ✨

⭐️ I am an artist and curator; I am one who communicates with color, found words and collage, inky marks and doodles as I cycle like the moon (as my calendar), chronicling oracles and abiding with the sky as a meditation.
⭐️ I host creative communities, safe spaces for gathering and sharing. I choose love and creativity for coping with the ongoing challenges of this world and I go to work—not because everything is fine but because I believe art heals.
❤️ Braveheart, as the Creator/Artist of Right Brain Planner I am ever-grateful to have the opportunity to share my creative work online + support other creators! 🎉 For almost 20 years I have had the privilege of sharing my art and writing about right brain planning while also hosting kindred 👭🏽💞👭 communities. ✨ I consider it an absolute delight to continue this portion of my creative work (even as I retire from full-time work).
- This is possible, in part, by {you} and your presence here. But also because of the support of my Ko-fi patrons and the other member/subscriber communities I host (via their presence, input and paid subscriptions). 🫶
