To-Do Lists can be a tool:
- to dump random stuff from your mind
- a completely random list of memories, want-to’s and dreams
- ordered list of tasks and miscellany to complete a project
- dailies {errands; chores; work projects; phone calls; emails}

To-Do Lists can also be …
- painted
- stamped
- illustrated
- doodled
- collaged
- mapped
- art-full
- color-coded
- kept in a journal
- {tattooed}

To-Do Lists can also be a custom-creative blend of any — or all — of these elements.
Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan. ~Tom Landry

Instead of a standard, ruled To-Do list a creative thinker-planner can employ various artistic techniques to compile and {imprint} his/her daily plans and random things to remember.
The use of visual-planning: art journaling, mind-mapping, developing a vision {creatively} or other art-full techniques in the practice of day planning add a new layer of focus and intention for the right brain thinker.

One size does not fit all.
Trial and error is the best teacher. Don’t wait for the {perfect} planning method or tool — create your own system.
Begin to consider the elements of your freelance {self-paced; dance-to-the-music-in-your-head} schedule for your dailies. And let’s raise our freak-flags — share our ideas and images of outa-the-box, right brain planning! ![]()

Wow – I really needed to come here today…I love this post! Love your pics and doodles too! I am a list maker – but a boring one, and an inefficient one, therefore rarely get anything crossed off.
Maybe a to-do list pretty journal?
Currently gearing up for the new year and looking for ways to shed the old stuff that isn’t working anymore to take on the new.
Have you been reading my mind? This year I’m trying a different way of mapping out what I want to happen in my life. I guess you could say I’m creating my own system, not just looking at a “to do list” but of a “become plan”. Thank you for helping me with your great ideas.
Love the “to do” tattoo. I have a friend who used to write things to remember on her arm in art school. It was sometimes a very stressful time. If I had the tattoo it would have to go down both legs. I would need the space.
To Do lists are an integral part of my genetic make up, I think. I make lists for work, lists for play, lists for family, lists for…well, pretty much everything! Thank you for sharing so many beautiful photos of lists
Braveheart and boho mom, you are a list maker in-training!
Your honest assessment of your baseline doodles and art will serve you well as you begin to practice more of what you want to see. You can do this … I believe in you! ♥
Oh, Barb! How exciting!! I look forward to seeing your system! Intention is fuel for our dreams!

Carlene, just remember: baby steps count. Our lengthy lists cause us to get tangled in busyness and come crashing down to that place we have named: It-will-never-happen.
Emily, what a energetic blog name! wow! Thanks so much for stopping by! I am a list-maker, too. However, I am also a misplacer of lists, too!
Thanks for linking to my art/to-do list!
I’m delighted for it to be part of a pretty cool topic! There are some fun ideas here!
Danielle: Thank *you* for your kind comments {and creative image!}.
