{thank you}

Right Brain Planner started as an experiment of techniques, of trial and error — as a somewhat desperate attempt to liberate myself from lines and boxes {doubt and self-loathing} in my dedicated pursuit of maximizing my time and focus. At the time its first pages were doodled and collaged and jotted, I had no grand plan of it ever becoming what it is now. In March of 2008, when I set up a WordPress blog, I was simply resorting to a searchable means of keeping track of my notations and discoveries of creative planning.

the fine line between stalling and endurance.

Multiple Sclerosis continually presents opportunities to stall out in this process: 1) To give up on creating some type of “template” — a visual guide — that would save other right brain planners time {and frustration} as they endeavor to free themselves from lines and boxes {doubt and self-loathing}. 2) To avoid a blog makeover and continue on. 3) To resist the work of merging what I have a passion to do in my own life as well as offering an example of how life-planning, art and goal-setting can merge and mingle {and to present that here}. Blah, blah! I. Am. Not. A. Quitter! ;)

I decided to jump!

To forget that dang fine line, and all the micro-decisions of merging — and to completely simplify the process! Life is short and I shall not waste time on mundane details!

Instead of “wasting” time on reformatting and categorizing 867 posts, and editing for relevancy and repetition — I opted to cut that job in half. That one decision totally and completely energized me! ;)

Praise the bridge that carried you over. ~George Colman

Blogging {and collaborating with kindred artists via social media} has ignited the smoldering coals of my courage. I am ever-grateful for you, Braveheart.

You inspire me to write more about the details of creative planning; you read what I write and offer your feedback.

Thank you! :D

You let me know what you think about what I write via your comments, tweets and messages. I deeply appreciate that!

I am not a blogger who arts; I am an artist who blogs. I blog to compile what I know and what I am learning; I blog to collaborate and to ask questions, to spark discussions. And … I am {at long last} fully embracing the title of Artist. #secretmessage

Furthermore — I shall fling conventional notions, transitional “rules” and guidebooks — and the {ever-uncharacteristic for me} hope of straight lines … And I shall read my soul.

I will pause over each syllable, and notice the details of all those delightfully-sparkly, squiggly lines and words written and collaged amidst swatches of vibrant color! :mrgreen:

AgainMy deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks! I appreciate your encouragement and affirmations regarding this dramatic change.

I have been adding the features, badges and various widgets that provide us with common threads of reference information as we collaborate and design our own creative planning pages. But in the meantime, my time will be primarily devoted to creating collages and dream sheets and art-full journal pages!
