letting go of what-if {learning the cycles of life and death}

in practices that propel and inspire,quote

To untangle the Life/Death/Life nature means to learn her attentions, habits and movements. It means to learn the cycles of life and death, to memorize them and so to see how they all go together, how they are all a single organism, just as a skeleton is a single organism. ~Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Women Who Run With the Wolves

I celebrate the reality that I am completely at-ease with this declaration: If I cannot get to it {complete it; participate, etc.} it is not mine to do.

It is not mine for Now — or maybe never. The past 12 months have been a time of defining — of refining my dreams. There are so-o {many} excellent opportunities, to-be’s & to-do’s … the practice of living a life we love is a daily, often moment-by-moment decision on our part, to trust our spirits {gut, intuition, luck, karma} to lead us.

I am not referring to pie-in-the-sky, floaty-name-it-claim-it stuff. This is about being at the place of accepting what cannot be changed and changing what can. One.step.at.a.time.

It’s remarkable what we can accomplish when we give up the fantasy of unlimited time.
~Julia Cameron
