There can be no courage unless you’re scared.

Disclaimer: Being a creAtive, you realize the only two things I actually do on a daily basis is sleep and eat!
It is my {intention} to journal every day — at least in some form. I have a pop-up reminder on my Google Calendar each day at 9:15 a.m. {one form of a visual journal}.
When my mind is wandering, I write in longhand {and doodles} for clarity. Or I type my runaway thoughts — print, cut and paste in my journal. Some days I tear words or images from the pile of mail that lives on the counter near my desk. Said tearing usually sparks some sort of creative process which leads to a collage or journal prompt.
On days when {overwhelm} visits and plain ‘ol real-life roars at me
— when inspiration is no where to be found?
What can be done on those days?
- Read … A book, a blog, the back of the cereal box.
- Google creative or inspirational quotations.
- Do something completely un-routine. Or shuffle your routine.
- Enjoy something visual: Visuwords | Flickr | Visual Dictionary
- Journal Writing Prompts {amazing resource!}
- Doodle. Put a pen or pencil or a crayon and engage in {unfocused drawing}
- Listen to some ♫ music … Dance!
- Walk outside and enjoy the sunshine … Or the moonlight.
