The romantic view of a freelancer {living the dream} is accurate to a point; but there is a definite down side when it comes to the costs of freelancing and the ugliness of project (and client) management. Then there is the reality of learning to “clock-out” and have a life separate from working all the time!
Here are some excellent resources for freelancers and rural solopreneurs {and for learning more about said good, bad and ugly!

P.S. I have started my own list of freelancer-related tweeps to follow: [http://twitter.com/stargardener/freelance] and I would love to know who you follow for freelance support, insight and resources!
I always find good information at ProBlogger and Copyblogger. Another site I visit a lot is NoJobForMom.com.
Great list! Thanks!
Totally agree regarding the quality of resources from Problogger and Copyblogger; particularly encouraged by “Feeling ‘Blogged Out?’ [10 Pro Bloggers Share Their Advice on What to Do]“! NoJobForMom.com looks great also! Thanks!
This is an excellent {and related} resource for freelancers! Part of the {ugly} is designing and creating our blogs and web sites {in the wee hours of the morning!}.
