I often journal thru the question: How much is enough?
because … well, if there was “enough” — I would know. right?
at least for a day
this amazing daylily captured my gaze this morning
{beauty enough}
its intensity of color and texture and varied elements
the mostly-open pose as it ever-gently expanded to drink in the sun
for one day
Life rarely feels like “enough” … despite our pursuit and striving
as we wait longingly for the elusive “enough”
How about we make it our intention to enjoy the beauty of each moment?
each bloom
one day at a time
{beauty enough}

Thank you, Simon!
In a time where beauty was hard to find the day you wrote this (my birthday) i felt so overwhelmed by the beauty of my life and just how lucky I am to be living in this world where I am and surrounded by so many people whose love for me takes my breath away.
Shelby, how courageous of you to embrace the beauty in spite of the realities of that particular day. You are an amazing young woman, Braveheart!
